Christie Chute,

Director, Marine Conservation/ Oceans Management Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Ottawa, ON

Christie has over 15 years of experience with the federal Public Service and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) when she joined DFO as a Senior Marine Protected Area Advisor in 2001.  Since joining DFO Christie has held a variety of positions within Oceans Management supporting the advancement of both marine conservation and integrated oceans management initiatives. Most recently, she has been acting in the role of Director, Marine Conservation in the Aquatic Ecosystems Sector. Prior to joining DFO, she worked with various conservation organizations which included the Canadian Nature Federation and the Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre.
